Abstracts and Posters

Abstract deadline for poster: Nov 25^th, 2017

• When you register, you will have an option to submit the abstract either at the time of registration or until the end of the registration deadline. Abstract submission is optional, is not required for registration and participation at the meeting. The cost of registering for the meeting is the same, whether or not you submit an abstract.
• Please download the abstract template. Abstract should be no more than 350 words – please use Arial font size 12. Refer to the abstract format below. Completed abstracts could be send to minu.s@maggenome.com.
• The abstracts will be accepted after an initial evaluation by the organizing committee. The abstract content and editing is the responsibility of the author. However, the organizers may edit the abstracts for language and formatting. All selected abstracts that are submitted before the deadline will be published in the conference proceedings.
• There will be three best poster awards. Six best posters selected by the judges will also have an additional opportunity to pitch their work onstage for 5-7 minutes (3-5 slides) on the second day.

• Please refer the Abstract template.
• Submit your abstract in the word format.
• Use Arial font for your abstract and whenever possible, try to use the Symbol font (alpha, beta, gamma, etc.).
• Name of the author presenting the abstract should be in bold.
• Title should be bold.
• Presenting author name should be in bold.
• Abstract should be no more than 350 words on a single page.
• Please use font size: 12; font: Arial.
• Use standard abbreviations in your abstract as needed.
• Document must fit 8 1/2" x 11" letter format.
• Please use the word template provided to type in your abstract.
• Provide any grant acknowledgments for your research at the end of your abstract as needed.

• Meeting would be held at IC and SR Auditorium, IIT Chennai.

• The ICON -BIO 2017 meeting will start on Dec 4^th at 9:00 am and end on 5^th  at 3:30 pm. We expect to have cultural events and conference dinner on Dec 4^th at 6:30pm at Hotel Turyaa, Perungudi, Chennai.

• Yes, it is possible to do spot registration but you will be required to make payment either through credit card or cash. However, to ensure you can attend the meeting we ask that you register ahead. We strongly recommend that you register online before the early registration deadline to save on the registration fees.

• Abstract submission is not required (though encouraged for poster presentations). You can register without submitting an abstract.

• If you are not an invited speaker but wish to be considered for a speaking slot, please send your proposal/abstract (350 words) to minu.s@maggenome.com. We will send it to the organizing committee for evaluation and respond with their recommendations. We have a limited number of slots for speakers selected from the abstracts submitted and hence only abstracts which are able to convey the scientific depth and findings from the work are likely to be selected.

• Yes, all the participants would receive the certificate of attendance.

• Accommodation would be available at IIT Chennai campus at reasonable rates. Also , rooms would be available at places near IIT – Adyar,,Taramani. For details regarding accommodation, please contact the organising secretaries .
